The Cookeville Camera Club held a reception in July 2011 for the opening of the club's annual photography exhibition in Cookeville, TN, at the Cumberland Art Center's Back Door Gallery. Some of the club's members with photos in the gallery exhibit posed for a group photo and the club president, Wanda Krack, stood proudly by the sign for the exhibit.
Left to right: Wendell Gordy, Pat Gordy, Mary McLain, Milton McLain, Sylvia Brooks, Ed Bowen, and John Brooks were among 14 members of the Photographic Society of Chattanooga that attended the 21st Annual Wilderness Wildlife Week in Pigeon Forge, TN.  This event has many presentations by professional photographers, and it offers activities for all ages and attracts thousands of nature lovers to Pigeon Forge each year. The International Festivals & Events Association has recognized the event for its environmental and educational efforts. PSC is represented each year.

The Cookeville Camera Club held their Annual Picnic at the Burgess Falls shelter, near Sparta, Tennessee. The river and waterfalls had lots of water due to late spring rains. There was no shortage of conversation about photography, camera's, and places to go for photo ops. After everyone's fill of hamburgers, hot dogs and the dishes brought by members, some adventurous souls headed out for an afternoon looking for that winning photo.
Shown at Oak Ridge Camera Club on March 9, were, left to right: Mike Slay, Program Chairman; Pat Gordy, Speaker; and Doug Hubbard, President. Pat spoke about the Art of Photography and about PSA.  At the meeting, the Oak Ridge Camera Club Joined PSA and became the newest PSA club member in PSA Region 13.

Photographers Les and Sue Milligan were guest speakers at the Monterey Senior Citizens Center January 2010. They showed slides of photos they had taken world-wide, but said that photos close to home were just as good. They recommend to seniors when taking photos of people and flowers, to get in close.

Also highly recommended was joining the Cookeville Camera Club which meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at the First Presbyterian Church (second floor meeting room), 20 N. Dixie, Cookeville, TN., from 7 to 9 p.m. Their website is www.cookevillecameraclub.com
